DigiLocal is a primary initiative, organised by High Tech Bristol and Bath (HBB), to offer a high quality, regular, fun technology club for children outside of school.
All of the clubs are run by volunteers who give their time to support the next generation of engineers, software developers, innovators, and problem solvers.
Regular sessions are offered with Scratch and Python projects (as registered CodeClubs). The projects teach children how to program by showing them how to make computer games, animations and websites.
By attending the club, it is hoped that the children attending will gain skills that are useful to them – not only learning to program, but also learning about computational thinking, problem solving, planning, designing and collaboration.
Each session lasts one hour, times and dates vary by each local club across Bristol. For current and upcoming events click here.
